Rainy Day
We've had many weeks of drought. Yesterday afternoon, it began to drizzle; we got less than 1/4 inch. This morning began and remained cloudy and cool. Now, it has begun a soft rain. I checked with weather.com and they had suggestions for rainy day activities:
- Paint a picture of a rainbow.
- Have an indoor picnic.
- Make a bird feeder.
- Jump over mud puddles.
- Play a rainfall trivia game. (you'd expect that from a weather site)
- Act out a play.
- Do a rain dance.
- Make a list of all the things that make you smile, laugh, and cry.
- Make a fort out of the kitchen table.
If you need me, I'll be in my fort.

There always is something to do , with a bit of imagination . besides we don' t command the weather .
I hope you had a goood Easter .
Love
Michel
I did, thank you, Michel. Good Friday, I was one of a cast of readers who performed the Easter story. It was simple and done by candlelight. Easter morning, we had breakfast at the church. Then, the children acted out an Easter play and finished it by dancing.
After we got home, we fired up the BBQ grill. We cooked steak, hamburgers, hotdogs, and salmon.(I don't like to waste a good fire
) I made mashed potatoes, salad, and garden peas. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with butterscotch and walnuts. We relaxed all afternoon watching a mini-series with Robert Powell as Jesus. I don't care if he does have blue eyes, he's a great Jesus!
It was a lovely day.
I need you...come out of your fort.
A fort made with blankeys, tables, chairs, string and clothes pins. I haven't done that for a long time. And then we could eat lunch under there. I'll bring the jujubes.
Or maybe make your own rainstick? The kids and I love that one.
I would like the job of thinking up things for people to do every day.
Savon, me too...oh, wait, I do have that job
ryc: Lol. Very funny. Can you dig the article up or recreate it (a thing to do for the day!)?
Sure Petra, just click on the weather.com link in my post.
Hey! Congrats on the diploma!!
Be Blessed! - Dale
