Sometimes, we choose to see things as disappointments that could really be blessings, if we would perceive them in the proper light.
Mexican Daisies at Dawn
The sky this morning showed no hint of pink,
just subtle morph from black, to blue, to gray;
a disappointing dawn, I chose to think,
a dreary way to greet a brand new day.
But, when I turned and looked another way,
I saw my daisies bathed in morning's glow;
above the roof, long, slender stems now swayed;
a hundred suns were putting on a show!10/29/06 Cheri Neuman Herald

Psalm 98:1 Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things;
May today hold an unexpected surprise for you.

Like gosh that was a cool poem...and like I hope today has an unexpected surprise, too.
This brings back memories of a walk along the beach at sunset. When looking on way, the darkness takes over, and the other way reveals colors of gold.
Maybe these are 'our season of life' thoughts because I think about this a lot.... Just because I don't like the weather or what's happening to me does not make the whole day bad all over the world, you know? Our own view is a very limited, subjective, relativistic, individualistic sort of post-modernism, LOL! I think of in Eden where God looked around at all that he had made and proclaimed it good. Thanks for sharing these thoughts.
Your poem expresses very well the enchantment brought by the daisy magical tapestry on the ground .
Thanks for your comment . It meant much for me .
