If all the joy
in all the world
was mine to freely give,
I’d wrap a batch
in a big-bowed box,
and send it where you live.

If peaceful days
were sold online,
I’d order you a year,
then add a bunch of extra nights
for those that you hold dear.

Yet, those aren’t things
that I control,
as much as I might try.
Those precious gifts we all desire
aren’t mine to sell or buy.

But, I possess,
may give away,
what came from God above.
Take all you wish, then pass some on.
