  • Connecticut

For Mother's 80th, I took her to my brother's by train--she won't fly.  We got a bedroom car.  It was a nice experience. Like the cruise, the food was very good, and the service was wonderful. I really enjoyed sleeping to the train's rythm.

Connecticut is lovely, with lots of historical homes to visit.

We also drove to Sturbridge Village in Massachusets; it is a reenactment of colonial village life.

But my biggest desire was enjoy the lobster again.  It did not disappoint.

  • Lovely pictures. I hope it wasn't too hot there.

  • @DMMeyer - Unfortunately it was as hot there as here, except for the restaurant right over the water where I got the lobster.  The breeze coming in was actually chilly.
